Ambasada Kultury: Alla and Alexey Rumyantsev, artist talk, 22 October 2023, 4:00 PM
Pickle Bar is happy to host Ambasada Kultury and the artists from Tajikistan, Alla and Alexey Rumyantsev, for the artist talk. Through their practice, the artists often address pressing social concerns, such as the challenges of migration, gender disparities, the threats of extremism, and the complexities of political and social engagement within the constraints of a totalitarian regime. During the presentation the artist will provide an introduction to the cultural and artistic landscape of Central Asia and specifically Tajikistan, present their practice and share the insights gained from their one-month residency in Berlin.
Presentation will be held in the Russian language.

Alla and Alexey Rumyantsev are artists from Tajikistan, working across various mediums, including video, photography, installations, animation, and performance art.
Ambasada Kultury is an initiative of Belarusian culture workers and activists. Originally from Minsk, Belarus, it is currently based in Berlin, Germany.
