HACERNOCHE, SON DE AQUI:  Selin Davasse presents “Amnio-fuente”, 22 October, 06:00 PM

Part of Pickle Bar, the performance Amnio-Fountain for Public Space Gestationality draws from the masculine narratives around fountains on city squares to wash over the traditions. Soaking into the fluid feminine, the performance set the stage for a textual and participatory voyage through possibilities of hydro feminism and knowledge production. During the performance, floating texts are pulled out of the water to initiate a playful interaction where consenting volunteers are made wet in various positions by close contact with the artist’s tentacle-dress, while her poems in English circulate through their bodies to later drip out of their lips having transformed to Spanish. The Amnio-Fountain desires to drown the feelings of disconnect and devastation welling up under the dry, water-soluble logic of the Capitalocene.
