S&T RESIDENCY: Aliaskar Abarkas, Deniz Kirkali, “Secret Sits In The Middle And Knows”, 19 May 2023, 7:00PM

Aliaskar explores the limits of communication in an experimental act that challenges conventional speech. Using his research in indigenous whistled languages and his experience with "The Community Whistling Choir," he replaces spoken language with the sound of a whistle in a performative encounter that pushes the boundaries of human expression.

Drawing inspiration from the composition of Matei Visniec's 1998 play "The Story of the Panda Bears Told by a Saxophonist Who Has a Girlfriend in Frankfurt," Aliaskar invites the audience to engage with the narrative through their responses and reactions, resulting in a dynamic and unpredictable sonic experience that unfolds collectively.

Free admission.
